Immortal Life

Immortal Life

from Ascension by MSI

Most people believe on a deep and subtle level in their own death. They have abundant proof that this will happen to them, for has it not happened to everyone else before throughout history? I had a friend once who often spoke of her death. Sometimes longing filled her voice, sometimes fear. Sometimes she wondered what it would be like to die and what should be done with her body after it stopped. I think this is a typical attitude toward the subject and is perhaps the most common.

Other people ignore their mortality and act as if they believe they will live forever. They don’t really believe that they will live forever, but they hope that if they don’t think about death, maybe it will just go away and spare them. Like the proverbial ostrich, they feel that by burying all thoughts of danger, the danger will leave them alone. But the trouble with trying to cover up any thought or feeling or belief is that repression only feeds negative mental states, making them stronger.

A few believe in the possibility of physical immortality. Some of these are scientists…And a few are saints, yogis and other spiritual visionaries who believe that it is possible to gradually transmute their gross physical bodies into material made of deathless light.

If such a phenomenon were possible, who would be likely to succeed in it? Obviously, the first prerequisite for anyone is to believe it is possible. Since our thoughts create our futures, it is highly unlikely we shall experience a gradual transformation of the nature of our cells unless we at least entertain the possibility. The deep pervading nature of the collective belief system is too extensive to be countered by mere accident.

If physical immortality is to be a realized goal by anyone in this generation, what will be required is first of all to begin loosening the hard habits of stress, judgement and disbelief. What will be required next is to become infinitely flexible in our response to Life. If there are no hard knots inside anywhere, there is no fertile field for the growth of life-threatening disease. Just as there is no room for guilt or anger if we are fully open to peace, just so, there is no room for death if we are saturated with Life. It is a waste of time and potential to die; it is the result of hardening ourselves to the natural flow of evolutionary change….
The root of immortality is internal….

Deathlessness is neither fanciful nor difficult to achieve. In fact, it is much, much easier to continue to live than it is to die. Life is the natural state of the human…..there are certain lessons we are meant to learn here; there is no doubt that we must eventually learn them…and share them. Among the Ishayas, I have met several immortals

As long as an individual keeps progressing, there is no need to go somewhere else to start over. Only when life stagnates does the necessity for disease, disaster or death manifest. If life is continually evolving in every moment, there is no need to die. This is achieved by being completely in the present moment, by being permanently established in full human awareness.

…all of us already have awareness obviously, every human being has it. The only requirement is to stop blocking it from its’ free-flowing functioning. The sun is already shining, but if there are many clouds in the way we may fail to realize how brilliant and warm it is. The clouds will pass. The clouds always pass…

…everything depends on belief. It is our beliefs which keep us enslaved….
